Ray Dalio, an extremely famous hedgefund manager, wrote a new book called Principles in 2018. In this book, he described how he developed "principles" for life and work. He would write these principles down and then use these principles to help him make better decisions in life and work. He claimed that his principles made him more successful in life and work.
After reading Ray's book, I immediately thought of the Bible as a source of principles. Within the Bible, the Book of Proverbs is one that has an enormous amount of useful principles in it. The author of Proverbs is King Solomon, who is extremely successful in life. I believe that if you can write down all the principles from the Bible and use it as a guide when making decisions, then you will be much better off in life.
